Stretch & Flex® Elementary Championships: competition format

Stretch & Flex® is delighted to be sponsoring the 2010 British Dressage Elementary Championships for the third year. This level of competition is central to a horse's progression up the ranks. Like the Novice, Medium and Advanced Medium classes it is divided into Restricted and Open sections, according to the grade of the rider. The competition runs over 9 months. Qualifiers are held at events across the country from 1st December 2009 to 30th June 2010. To gain a place at one of the Regional Finals, competitors must win two qualifiers. For Open competitors, both wins must be with a score of 66%, and for Restricted, 64%. The Regional Championships are held between the end of July and end of August, and at these Regionals, a competitor gaining 65% or more qualifies for the National Championships.
